The race covers a total of 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) course and attracts both competitive runners and community participants to run or walk in the event. Every year, the race attracts over 80,000 participants from different corners of the world who start in random groups, based on the entry timings. The 14 km long route taken by the participants starts from the city centre of Sydney and passes through the suburbs of East Sydney, Kings Cross, Rushcutters Bay, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse, Dover Heights and Bondi Beach. To keep the participants entertained throughout the route, many amateur band performances are organized along the suburban roads. In 2014, the event will be organized on 10th August.

The Australian Garden Show Sydney
