The much popular Sun-Herald City2Surf, presented by Westpac is world’s largest fun-run and sporting-event organized in Sydney every year. The race covers a total of 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) course and attracts both competitive runners and community participants to run or walk in the event. Every year, the race attracts over 80,000 participants from different corners of the world who start in random groups, based on the entry timings. The 14 km long route taken by the participants starts from the city centre of Sydney and passes through the suburbs of East Sydney, Kings Cross, Rushcutters Bay, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse, Dover Heights and Bondi Beach. To keep the participants entertained throughout the route, many amateur band performances are organized along the suburban roads. In 2014, the event will be organized on 10th August.

The Australian Garden Show Sydney

Yet another compelling reason for merrymakers to look for air tickets to Sydney is the much celebrated Australian Garden Show Sydney. To be held from 4th – 7th September, 2014 at Brazilian Fields, Centennial Park, this extravagant carnival is sure to attract millions of garden lovers from all parts of the globe.
